The Alumni Association began in 1991 as a means to supplement public funding at HHS and to help it's members be in touch with goings on at HHS by publishing a quarterly newsletter.

First 6 members are Kenneth Goertzen, '40, plant geneticist, Jesse Corsaut, '48, artist, Dr. Rainier Martens, '60, CEO of international publishing business in the field of physical activity, Lt. Gen. Martin Colladay, '43, US Air Force (Ret), Juanita White Murphy, '44, tireless keeper of Who is Who at HHS, and James Dick, '58, concert pianist.
